ARNIS GRAND MASTERS OF THE PHILIPPINES
It’s been a long time that Arnis has been a part of the Philippine History, in Europe, at the United States and other countries in Asia believes that Arnis is a Filipino indigenous Martial Art. Developed and Practice by ancient Filipno for self defense and later it becomes Art There are lots of Martial Arts created by our forefathers. Here in the Philippines, we have the Sikaran, Doblete Rapelon, Arnis de Mano, Tapi-Tapi, Kuntaw and Jendo.
These Martial Arts has been recognized through out the world. It is the Pride of the Filipinos. R.A. 9850, signed by President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo thru the Senate Bill that was made by Hon. Miguel Zubirri, it is now a NATIONAL SPORT of the country. It is therefore, we must have a place where we can preserve the history by giving them a place where our new generation can witness their own very eyes and give highly respects to the Grandmasters who spend their lives in developing and preserving the Art of Arnis. .

Grandmaster Jonathan Makiling-Abaya,Ph.D.
Dr. Jonathan Makiling-Abaya is a certified 1oth Degree Red Belt Grandmaster founder and originator of Jendo Martial Arts (Ring Sport, Traditional Arnis and Stick-Fighting Sport). A 20002 Universal Hall of Fame Awardee for promoting Filipino Martial Arts. The founding Chairman of the World Martial Arts Council of Elders and presently serving as a Physical Education Professional lecture at the San Beda College and a part-time lecture at the Integrated College of Physical Education and Sport-School of Arnis Professionals.

Grand Master Laso
GM Lazo was born March 4th, 1938 in the barrio of Ananaao, Tayum, Abra, PhilippinesHe was the son of proud parents Paulino Millare Lazo and Rosalia Tamo along with two brothers and a sister. The beginning of Grandmaster Lazo’s life was destined to be filled with tragedy.After suffering the loss of his two brothers in WWII, young Federico would also endure the devastating loss of his mother at the tender age of seven. Federico’s grieving father, confronted by the absolute impossibility of laboring in the fields all day and raising his family by himself, was forced to make the difficult decision of moving his children to Manila to be raised by their aunt.

Grand Master Presas
Ernesto Amador Presas was born in the coastal village of Hinigaran, Negros Occidental, Philippines on May 20, 1945. He began his training in the Filipino martial arts at the age of eight under his father, Jose Presas, a well-known stick fighter of his generation.

Grandmaster Ver Villasin
Grandmaster Ver Villasin was born on August 15, 1953 in Cebu City. He is known and referred by his family and Balintawak club members as "Boy Villasin". The son of the Great Grandmaster Atty. Jose Villasin. Arnis-Escrima-Balintawak is his passion. As a boy, he would watch his father teach lessons to his friends and students from a window. He wasn't allowed to watch because his father thought he would take what he learned to school and beat-up his school mates and friends until he turned eight years old. By then, his father thought him how to control his temper and showed him the art.

Grandmaster Remy Presas
Grandmaster Remy Presas i Grandmaster Remy Presas is widely regarded as one of the foremost living experts in Filipino martialarts. Modern Arnis, the system he developed, is the largest Filipino martial arts in the world, boasting students from all points of the globe.
Grandmaster Presas, or "The Professor" as he prefers to be called, spent much of his youth in the mountains of the Philippines, hiding from the invading Japanese army. His father was Lieutenant Jose Presas, a US army officer whose duty was to train the troops in the ancient bladed arts of his native land.

Master Samuel Bambit Dulay
Master Samuel Bambit Dulay started training in Filipino Martial Arts in Dumog and Judo in 1968-69 under Roming Yanson and the Lisondra Brothers (both students of G.M. Remy Presas) at the Univerisity of Negros Occidental and West Negros College. He learned the Baston (basic Arnis) in 1972 while studying karate jujitsu under Romy Lisondra. For the first time in 1974, he witnessed a bladed weapon demonstration between Master Roberto Presas and Master Cris Vasquez, which inspired him to seek an Arnis Instructor.

Grandmaster Rolando Dantes
Rolando Pintoy Dantes (June 15, 1944-March 16, 2009) is an actor and Filipino martial artist who trained with Remy Presas for over 30 years.
He has also trained with other martial arts masters, such as Cacoy Canete and Edgar Sulite. He worked several years as a police officer before becoming an actor.
He is one of the best-known Philippine actors. He has had leading roles in different films including "The Pacific Connection" and "Arnis: The Sticks Of Death." In addition, Dantes was a bodybuilder who won the "Mr. Philippines" title five times between 1969-1980 and placed in competitions for the titles "Mr. Universe" and "Mr. World".
